Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport packages and goods to designated locations within the DC metropolitan area
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures upon completion
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS technology to maximize efficiency and timeliness
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status
- Assist with loading/unloading operations and proper package handling
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year of professional delivery or driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Proficiency with smartphone navigation applications
- Excellent customer service communication abilities
- Reliable transportation to and from assigned depot location
- Pass background check and drug screening requirements
