Responsibilities
- Safely transport packages and parcels to designated addresses in a timely and efficient manner.
- Practice excellent customer service by maintaining a professional demeanor and helping customers.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring items are not damaged during transit.
- Verify delivery information, obtain electronic or physical signatures, and resolve delivery issues on-site.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections to ensure the truck remains in safe operating condition.
- Use handheld devices for navigation, route planning, and electronic proof of delivery (ePOD).
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) OR a valid State Driver's License.
- Must possess a clean driving record with no major moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Must be at least 21 years of age to operate a commercial vehicle.
- Ability to pass a background check and a pre-employment drug screening.
- Reliable smartphone with data capabilities for accessing delivery apps and maps.
