Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver packages and goods to customers throughout the Greater Boston area
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures when required
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance checks
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS technology to meet tight deadlines
- Provide exceptional customer service during all delivery interactions
- Collaborate with dispatch team to resolve delivery issues and exceptions
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies
- Assist with loading/unloading operations when necessary
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (minimum 3 years experience)
- Ability to operate delivery vehicles (vans, box trucks) up to 26 feet
- Strong knowledge of Boston area roads and traffic patterns
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Basic smartphone proficiency for delivery app navigation
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 pounds regularly
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
- Reliable transportation to and from depot location
