Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to customers in El Paso and surrounding areas.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any maintenance needs.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring weight distribution and securing loads properly.
- Provide exceptional customer service at every stop, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
- Manage all necessary paperwork, including delivery receipts, bills of lading, and electronic logs (E-logs).
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and federal regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delays or route changes.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required.
- Strong driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift without assistance.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management.
- Willingness to travel between El Paso, TX and North Carolina as required.
- Reliable transportation to and from the terminal.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
