Responsibilities
- Safe & Efficient Transport: Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to various locations throughout the Seattle metro area and surrounding regions.
- Customer Service: Deliver packages with a smile, ensuring courteous and professional interactions with every client and recipient.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is clean, fueled, and in safe operating condition.
- Accuracy: Verify delivery contents against manifests and ensure all paperwork, including invoices and receipts, is completed accurately and on time.
- Route Management: Optimize delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Security: Secure all cargo during transit and adhere to all company safety protocols and local traffic laws.
Qualifications
- Valid License: Possess a valid, unrestricted Class C Driver's License and a clean driving record (no DUIs or major violations in the last 3 years).
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of professional driving experience preferred (Gig economy experience considered).
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50-70 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Availability: Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to read and write in English.
- Technology: Comfortable using a smartphone or tablet for navigation and digital logging.
