Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles, including tractor-trailers and straight trucks, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload freight efficiently using pallet jacks and forklifts, ensuring cargo is secure and protected.
- Deliver packages to residential and commercial locations within a designated route in Kansas City, MO.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally with customers and handling special delivery instructions.
- Complete necessary paperwork, including delivery receipts, bills of lading, and daily logs accurately and on time.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance needs immediately.
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and company policies regarding hours of service and vehicle inspections.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Clean driving record (MVR check) with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Night shift availability is mandatory (typically 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly and performing manual labor.
- Basic knowledge of map reading and GPS navigation tools.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.
