Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver packages, food, and merchandise to customers across Los Angeles County using GPS navigation systems
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures for proof of delivery
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues promptly
- Optimize delivery routes to minimize fuel consumption and maximize daily efficiency
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions and resolve delivery inquiries
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols at all times
- Collaborate with dispatch team to adjust routes based on real-time traffic conditions
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record (no DUIs or major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year professional driving experience in urban delivery environments
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout shift
- Strong knowledge of Los Angeles geography and traffic patterns
- Proficiency with smartphone navigation apps and basic delivery software
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Pass background check and drug screening as required by DOT regulations
