Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport packages and goods throughout Long Beach and surrounding areas
- Verify delivery addresses, confirm customer identities, and obtain proper signatures for shipments
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation using our mobile tracking system
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions and resolve any concerns efficiently
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating company vehicles
- Collaborate with dispatch team to optimize delivery routes and ensure on-time performance
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record (no DUIs or major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year of professional driving experience or equivalent delivery background
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- Proficient with smartphone navigation apps and basic technology systems
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet tight delivery deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
- Must pass background check and drug screening as per company policy
- Availability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays as needed
