Responsibilities
- Safe & Efficient Delivery: Transport packages to residential and commercial locations in Detroit, MI, ensuring timely and accurate arrivals.
- Customer Interaction: Deliver exceptional customer service by adhering to professional dress codes and maintaining a polite demeanor.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck and trailer are in safe operating condition.
- Loading & Unloading: Safely load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, mileage, and any incidents during your shift.
- Route Navigation: Utilize GPS and mapping tools to find the most efficient routes to avoid delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License: A valid Class C Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is preferred; a standard driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
- Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in the United States and pass a background check and drug screen.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Technology: Comfortable using handheld devices for navigation and delivery confirmation.
