Responsibilities
- Deliver packages and documents to residential and commercial addresses in a safe and timely manner.
- Verify delivery addresses and obtain signatures upon completion of the route.
- Inspect vehicles before and after routes to ensure they are clean and in good working condition.
- Load and unload cargo safely, ensuring proper handling of packages.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks, such as checking tire pressure and fuel levels.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid Class C Driver's License required.
- Must have a clean driving record and be insurable.
- Ability to lift, carry, and push packages weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable personal transportation to and from the depot.
