Responsibilities
- Safe & Timely Deliveries: Transport packages to residential and commercial locations within the Greater Cleveland area on schedule.
- Customer Interaction: Deliver exceptional service by greeting customers politely, obtaining signatures, and ensuring accuracy of orders.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
- Load & Unload: Assist with loading cargo onto the vehicle and unloading at the destination, utilizing proper lifting techniques.
- Route Navigation: Utilize GPS and mapping software to follow the most efficient delivery routes while adhering to traffic laws.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of delivery activities and handle paperwork (e.g., bills of lading) accurately.
- Vehicle Cleanliness: Keep the delivery vehicle clean and organized to maintain a professional image.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License: A valid Class C Driver's License is required.
- Driving Record: A clean driving record with no serious traffic violations.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift, carry, and push items weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Availability: Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed.
- Residency: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
