Responsibilities
- Safe Delivery: Load, secure, and deliver packages to residential and commercial addresses in the Portland metro area efficiently.
- Customer Interaction: Provide professional, friendly, and courteous service to every customer; handle package inquiries with care.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring the vehicle is clean and in safe operating condition.
- Route Management: Navigate effectively using GPS and route-planning software to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency.
- Documentation: Accurately record proof of delivery (POD), collect signatures, and manage delivery logs digitally.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and DOT regulations.
Qualifications
- License: Valid Class C Driver's License required.
- Record: Clean driving record (no DUIs or major traffic violations in the last 3 years).
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly; able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Technology: Comfortable using a smartphone or tablet for navigation and delivery apps.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Reliability: Punctual and dependable with a history of showing up for shifts on time.
