Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles (Class B or Class A) following all traffic laws and DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring items are handled with care and placed securely in the delivery vehicle.
- Verify delivery accuracy, obtain necessary signatures, and communicate effectively with customers.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck and trailer are in safe operating condition.
- Maintain a clean and organized cab, including regular trash removal and cleanliness checks.
- Update delivery status in the dispatch system accurately and in a timely manner.
- Adhere to company safety policies and procedures at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License: A valid Class B CDL is required (Class A preferred for long-haul roles).
- Clean Record: A satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR) is mandatory.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills to interact professionally with dispatch and customers.
- Time Management: Proven ability to manage time effectively and meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Experience: Previous experience in delivery or logistics is a plus but not always required for immediate hires.
