- Safe Vehicle Operation: Drive delivery vehicles safely and efficiently through New York traffic to designated drop-off points.
- Package Handling: Load, unload, and organize packages with care to prevent damage during transit.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, verify deliveries, and obtain signatures when required.
- Route Management: Plan the most efficient routes to maximize delivery capacity and minimize fuel costs.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle remains in top condition.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of delivery logs and mileage reports.
Qualifications
- Valid License: Possess a valid Class C Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or a standard driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Technology Savvy: Comfortable using a handheld device or mobile app for navigation and delivery tracking.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Availability: Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet delivery demands.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and a professional demeanor.
