Responsibilities
- Safe & Efficient Delivery: Navigate city streets and highways to deliver packages to residential and commercial addresses in a timely manner.
- Customer Interaction: Provide friendly, professional, and courteous service to every client, including handling special delivery requests.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is clean, safe, and in proper working order.
- Route Planning: Optimize delivery routes using company-provided GPS systems to minimize delays and fuel consumption.
- Proof of Delivery: Accurately record delivery confirmations and handle returns or redeliveries as necessary.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, mileage, and expenses as required by company policy.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License: A valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record is mandatory.
- Vehicle Access: Must have access to a reliable personal vehicle (if not using company fleet) or be willing to drive a company vehicle.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50+ lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with diverse customers.
- Technology Proficiency: Comfortable using smartphones and tablet-based delivery applications.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work independently without close supervision.
