Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport packages from distribution centers to residential and commercial locations in Oakland.
- Verify delivery addresses and obtain electronic or physical signatures for all orders.
- Ensure all packages are handled with care to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe delivery vehicle at all times.
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding delays, route changes, or customer issues.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Collect payments or handle returns according to standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver's License and a clean driving record (no DUIs within the last 3 years).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Access to a reliable, insured vehicle suitable for delivery work (if applying for independent contractor roles).
- Ownership of a smartphone with a data plan for navigation and app communication.
- Physical ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 70 lbs repeatedly.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
