Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery trucks and trailers to deliver freight to customer locations on time and in perfect condition.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing cargo to prevent damage.
- Interact professionally with customers, handling billing and paperwork accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized cab and cargo area throughout the shift.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Utilize handheld technology for electronic logging and delivery confirmation.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT drug screen clearance.
- Clean driving record with no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs repeatedly during the shift.
- Strong customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging and paperwork.
