Responsibilities
- Safe and Timely Delivery: Transport packages to residential and commercial customers efficiently, adhering to the designated delivery route.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, handling packages with care and maintaining a positive image of the company.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of delivery status, mileage, and any incidents during the shift.
- Package Handling: Ensure packages are loaded correctly to prevent damage and handle special handling instructions as required.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License: Must possess a valid Class C driver's license with a clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3 years).
- Vehicle Access: Must have access to a reliable, insured vehicle suitable for delivery work.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years old.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills for interacting with dispatch and customers.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50-70 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Smartphone Proficiency: Comfortable using a handheld device for navigation and digital proof of delivery.
