Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles to transport packages to residential and commercial addresses efficiently and on time.
- Interact professionally with customers to ensure package handoff is smooth and courteous, handling any delivery concerns with care.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Load and unload cargo carefully, ensuring items are secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations, maintaining a clean driving record at all times.
- Update delivery status via mobile apps or handheld devices accurately and in real-time.
- Maintain a professional appearance and uphold the company's high standards of customer service.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3 years).
- Professional appearance and demeanor suitable for direct customer interaction.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Basic computer and smartphone proficiency for logging deliveries and navigation.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple stops efficiently.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
