Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Vehicle: Drive company vehicles to deliver packages and goods to designated addresses in a timely and efficient manner.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients, ensuring packages are delivered with care and answering any questions regarding deliveries.
- Route Management: Plan the most efficient routes to minimize delivery time and fuel consumption while adhering to traffic laws.
- Package Handling: Inspect vehicles before and after trips, ensuring they are clean and in good working condition.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, receipts, and any incidents or accidents during the shift.
- Flexible Scheduling: Adhere to strict delivery schedules and adjust to dynamic routing changes as needed.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform basic vehicle checks and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License: A valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3 years).
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years old to operate commercial vehicles.
- Smartphone: Must possess a reliable smartphone capable of accessing delivery apps and GPS navigation.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills for interacting with dispatch and customers.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills to ensure accurate delivery of items.
