Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver packages, food, and merchandise to Sacramento-area destinations using company-provided vehicles
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures for all shipments
- Optimize routes using GPS navigation to ensure timely deliveries and fuel efficiency
- Inspect vehicles daily for safety compliance and report maintenance needs promptly
- Provide exceptional customer service during all delivery interactions
- Collaborate with dispatch team to resolve delivery challenges and update delivery statuses
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year of professional driving experience or relevant logistics background
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 pounds and operate in various weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of Sacramento streets and surrounding areas
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Professional communication skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Basic smartphone proficiency for delivery tracking apps
