Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles and navigate Chicago's metropolitan area efficiently
- Load/unload packages with attention to detail and handling protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety standards
- Optimize routes to maximize delivery efficiency and minimize delays
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for extended periods
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Proficient with smartphone navigation apps and basic technology
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Pass background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent required
