Responsibilities
- Operate commercial delivery vehicles to transport goods safely to designated locations in and around Oakland, IL.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and secure fastening.
- Interact professionally with customers, answering questions and resolving delivery issues efficiently.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and records, including digital proof of delivery (POD).
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
- Keep the delivery vehicle clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or valid Driver's License depending on vehicle type.
- A clean driving record (no major violations within the last 3 years).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and move packages weighing up to 50-100 lbs repeatedly.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic computer skills for logging delivery information.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
