Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport packages, food, and retail items to customers using company vehicles
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures when required
- Optimize routes using GPS technology to ensure on-time deliveries
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve delivery-related inquiries
- Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols
- Collaborate with dispatch team to adjust routes based on real-time conditions
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year of professional driving experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of Chicago metropolitan area and navigation tools
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Reliable smartphone with data access for route communication
- Pass background check and drug screening as per company policy
