Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver packages to residential and commercial locations within Chicago
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures when required
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries and resolve delivery issues professionally
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols at all times
- Optimize delivery routes to ensure timely service and fuel efficiency
- Communicate delivery status updates to dispatch team in real-time
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year of professional driving experience preferred
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout shift
- Strong knowledge of Chicago streets and metropolitan area
- Smartphone proficiency for navigation and delivery tracking apps
- Ability to work independently while meeting strict delivery deadlines
- Pass background check and drug screening as per company policy
- Reliable transportation to/from designated shift location
