Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport packages and goods throughout Baltimore metropolitan area
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures for proof of delivery
- Inspect vehicles daily to ensure safe operating conditions and report maintenance needs
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions and resolve delivery issues promptly
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations at all times
- Optimize delivery routes to ensure timely and efficient service while minimizing fuel consumption
- Load/unload packages with proper lifting techniques to prevent damage or injury
- Communicate delivery status and delays to dispatch team and customers proactively
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (minimum 2 years experience)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening as per company policy
- Strong knowledge of Baltimore streets and surrounding areas
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 pounds regularly
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong customer service orientation and professional communication abilities
- Basic smartphone proficiency for route navigation and delivery tracking
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required
