Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles in compliance with traffic laws and company protocols
- Load/unload packages with attention to detail and proper handling techniques
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each shipment
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS technology to maximize efficiency
- Communicate delivery status updates to dispatch and clients in real-time
- Adhere to safety procedures for hazardous materials when applicable
Qualifications
- Valid Maryland driver's license with clean driving record (minimum 3 years)
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional logistics training preferred
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 pounds regularly
- Strong knowledge of Baltimore streets and surrounding areas
- Proficiency with smartphone navigation apps and delivery tracking systems
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Basic math skills for package verification and documentation
