Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver packages, food, and merchandise to customers within Sacramento city limits
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures when required
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Optimize delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals and maximize fuel efficiency
- Provide exceptional customer service during interactions at drop-off locations
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols at all times
- Assist with loading/unloading shipments and maintaining organized vehicle storage
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year professional driving experience in urban environments
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout shift
- Strong knowledge of Sacramento neighborhoods and major roadways
- Excellent time management and navigation skills (GPS proficiency required)
- Reliable smartphone with data plan for route communication
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Pass background check and drug screening
