Responsibilities
- Safely transport packages and goods to designated locations within Chicago city limits
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures upon completion
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS navigation software for maximum efficiency
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols
- Assist with loading/unloading shipments at distribution centers
- Communicate delivery status updates to dispatch team in real-time
Qualifications
- Valid Illinois Driver's License with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year professional driving experience
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Strong knowledge of Chicago streets and neighborhoods
- Smartphone proficiency for GPS and delivery tracking apps
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
