Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles while adhering to traffic laws and company safety protocols
- Efficiently plan optimal routes using GPS technology to ensure timely deliveries
- Handle customer interactions with professionalism during pickup/dropoff procedures
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for inventory control
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure operational readiness
- Collaborate with dispatch team to resolve delivery exceptions in real-time
- Uphold company standards for package security and damage prevention
Qualifications
- Valid Illinois Class D driver's license with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience or equivalent training
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs regularly with proper technique
- Proficiency with smartphone navigation apps and basic digital tools
- Strong time management skills with attention to detail
- Flexible availability including weekend and holiday shifts
- Pass background check and drug screening requirements
