Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport goods to designated delivery locations within Jacksonville and surrounding areas.
- Inspect delivery vehicle prior to and after routes to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
- Load and unload packages, ensuring items are handled with care and placed in the correct order.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers, answering questions and resolving delivery issues.
- Maintain accurate logs of delivery times, mileage, and vehicle condition.
- Follow all traffic laws and company safety policies to ensure a secure work environment.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record (no major violations within the last 3 years).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and mechanical issues.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to lift packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Reliable access to a personal vehicle for local errands (if applicable) and a valid Social Security Number.
