Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles while adhering to traffic laws and company safety protocols
- Load/unload packages with precision to prevent damage during transit
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS navigation to ensure timely arrivals
- Verify delivery details, obtain signatures, and maintain accurate delivery logs
- Provide exceptional customer service during interactions and resolve delivery inquiries
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Collaborate with dispatch team to adjust routes based on real-time conditions
Qualifications
- Valid Class C driver's license with clean driving record (minimum 2 years)
- Ability to lift packages up to 60 pounds repeatedly throughout shift
- Proficient with smartphone navigation apps and basic delivery technology
- Strong time management skills with ability to meet strict delivery deadlines
- Previous delivery or logistics experience preferred but not required
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of Memphis metropolitan area streets and neighborhoods
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
