Responsibilities
- Safely transport and deliver cargo to designated customer locations within a set radius.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and report any issues.
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment, including pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Obtain proper signatures and verify delivery details to ensure accurate billing.
- Maintain accurate daily logs and electronic records in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service and represent the company professionally at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred but not strictly required for local van routes.
- Clear driving record (MVR) with no recent serious violations.
- Ability to lift and handle packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Basic computer literacy for operating Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs).
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
