Responsibilities
- Operate tractor-trailers safely on dedicated regional routes
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logs
- Ensure timely delivery of freight while adhering to DOT regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Manage loading/unloading operations efficiently at various facilities
- Uphold strict safety standards and defensive driving practices
- Utilize electronic logging systems (ELD) for compliance
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL (or willingness to obtain through paid training)
- Minimum 21 years of age with clean driving record
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic understanding of DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Strong commitment to safety and reliability
- Ability to work independently while maintaining communication
- Flexibility for overnight travel and variable schedules
- Valid passport for potential cross-border routes
