Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles on dedicated routes across the southeastern US
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety standards
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance checks
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipments
- Represent Durham Logistics professionally with customers at delivery points
- Participate in ongoing training and safety compliance programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL (or willingness to obtain through our training program)
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong commitment to safety and punctuality
- Basic mechanical aptitude for vehicle inspections
- Ability to work independently while maintaining team communication
- Flexibility for occasional overnight trips (dedicated route consistency)
- Willingness to complete our 4-week paid training program
