Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for long-haul freight transport across designated routes
- Adhere to DOT regulations, including hours of service and vehicle inspection protocols
- Maintain accurate trip logs and documentation for all deliveries
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling and securement techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Provide exceptional customer service during all client interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years OTR driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong knowledge of cargo securement and safety protocols
- Flexibility for overnight travel and irregular schedules
- Basic navigation skills and GPS proficiency
