Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 tractor-trailers on dedicated regional routes
- Perform daily pre/post-trip inspections and vehicle maintenance checks
- Adhere to DOT regulations and HOS compliance
- Load/unload freight with proper securing techniques
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients
- Represent Coastal Transport professionally in customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year OTR experience or CDL graduate
- Pass TSA background check and drug screening
- Ability to lift 50lbs and climb trailer steps
- Basic understanding of electronic logging devices
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to safety-first driving practices
- Flexibility for overnight travel (4-5 days/week)
