Responsibilities
- Operate Class A tractor-trailers for dedicated regional routes in the Detroit metropolitan area
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations including HOS, logbooks, and safety protocols
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic preventive maintenance
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient loading/unloading procedures
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and customer communication
- Utilize GPS technology for route optimization and timely deliveries
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 2 years OTR experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate manual transmission
- Strong knowledge of Michigan roadways and winter driving conditions
- Pass background check and drug screening (FMCSA compliant)
- Ability to work flexible schedules including overnight trips
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
