Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 tractor-trailers on dedicated regional routes with predictable schedules
- Adhere to strict FMCSA regulations including HOS, vehicle inspections, and documentation
- Load/unload cargo efficiently with proper securement techniques
- Utilize GPS routing systems for timely deliveries while maintaining optimal fuel efficiency
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance issues promptly
- Maintain electronic logs and compliance paperwork with 100% accuracy
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 2 years OTR experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Current DOT medical certification and TWIC card preferred
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices and transportation software
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and defensive driving practices
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Flexible availability including weekends and overnight stays
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
