Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial truck over long distances to deliver freight on time and within legal weight and hours of service limits.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any issues immediately.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all necessary shipping and receiving documents.
- Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment, ensuring cargo security.
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or potential delays.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, FMCSA regulations, and local traffic laws.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable OTR driving experience in the last 5 years.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) valid for at least 6 months.
- Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and background check (no major violations).
- Strong commitment to defensive driving and safety compliance.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a dynamic environment.
