Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles on dedicated routes between NC, SC, VA, and GA
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and document maintenance reports
- Adhere to HOS regulations and DOT compliance standards
- Load/unload freight using appropriate equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts)
- Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status
- Maintain electronic logs (ELD) and delivery documentation
- Participate in quarterly safety training and performance reviews
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL (or willing to obtain through paid training)
- Minimum 1 year driving experience or commercial driving school graduate
- Clean MVR (no DUIs or major violations in 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic mechanical knowledge for roadside repairs
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Flexibility for occasional overnight trips (max 3 nights/week)
