Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently on dedicated long-haul routes across the United States.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo accurately, adhering to all weight and balance regulations.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging device (ELD) records at all times.
- Provide exceptional customer service to shippers and receivers.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes and delays.
Qualifications
- Willingness to Learn: Must be motivated to learn the trade; prior driving experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Valid Driver's License: Must possess a valid driver's license (Class A or Class B depending on vehicle).
- Physical Fitness: Must be able to pass a physical exam and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills required.
- Background Check: Must pass a drug screen and background check.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow complex instructions and safety protocols.
- Dependability: History of reliable attendance and punctuality.
