Job Overview
As a Dedicated OTR Driver, you will be responsible for transporting cargo over long distances safely and efficiently. You will play a crucial role in our supply chain, ensuring customer satisfaction through timely deliveries and professional conduct.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A CDL) over long distances (Over-The-Road) in a safe and legal manner.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of cargo to designated locations.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is road-ready.
- Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) logs and all required documentation (bills of lading, delivery receipts).
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Practice good housekeeping to maintain a professional image of the company.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding status updates and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable OTR driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR check) with no more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong time management and navigation skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and long hours on the road.
- Basic English proficiency for communication.
