Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial tractor-trailer over long distances (OTR) in compliance with all FMCSA regulations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and DOT paperwork.
- Secure freight properly using appropriate tie-down techniques and load securement devices.
- Adhere to all delivery schedules to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and report mechanical issues immediately.
- Represent the company professionally at shippers, receivers, and public locations.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable OTR driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical) valid for at least 6 months.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations (DUI, reckless driving, etc.).
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
