Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks over long distances (OTR) while adhering to all traffic laws.
- Deliver freight to designated drop points on or before the scheduled delivery time.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records and DOT paperwork.
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain a professional appearance and clean driving record at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable OTR driving experience.
- Current DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, and sit for extended periods.
- Must be willing to travel and be away from home for extended periods.
