Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks over long distances (OTR) following all traffic laws and regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and safety protocols.
- Adhere to strict safety policies and DOT regulations at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and route changes.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and presentable.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable OTR driving experience.
- Ability to pass a DOT drug screen and criminal background check.
- Strong navigation skills and ability to operate modern GPS systems.
- Physically fit and able to meet the requirements of the Department of Transportation (DOT).
