Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers on dedicated regional routes with predictable schedules
- Maintain electronic logs (ELD) and comply with FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic preventive maintenance checks
- Load/unload freight with precision using pallet jacks and forklifts (certification provided)
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Document incidents, delays, and delivery discrepancies in real-time
- Participate in quarterly safety training and equipment updates
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 2 years OTR experience
- Clean MVR and no preventable accidents in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate basic warehouse equipment
- Strong familiarity with Midwest geography and route planning
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holiday coverage
- Basic computer skills for ELD and communication platforms
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening (company-sponsored)
