Responsibilities
- Safely operate company-provided tractors and trailers on dedicated OTR routes
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logs
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic preventative maintenance
- Build strong relationships with logistics coordinators and clients
- Optimize routes for efficiency and on-time delivery performance
- Communicate proactively about delays, weather, or route changes
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (3+ years experience)
- Minimum 1 year recent OTR/long-haul experience
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and HOS compliance
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screen
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills for preventative maintenance
- Excellent communication and time-management abilities
- Flexibility for occasional overnight trips and variable schedules
