Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional routes in the Raleigh-Durham area
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and safety protocols on all deliveries
- Load/unload freight with precision using forklifts and pallet jacks
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logs
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Optimize routes to maximize efficiency and meet delivery deadlines
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Current DOT medical certification
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Strong knowledge of NC traffic laws and route navigation
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Preferred: Hazmat endorsement or tanker experience
