Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial tractor-trailer on dedicated routes between New York distribution centers and key regional hubs
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and company safety protocols
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic preventive maintenance checks
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logging systems
- Build strong relationships with warehouse staff and client partners
- Represent Empire Logistics with professionalism in all customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable OTR experience with flatbed/dry van expertise
- Strong knowledge of NYC metro traffic patterns and regional highways
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform loading/unloading duties
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
